The new dates are January 18 & 19, 2014 pending regatta approval.
Robins Resort will be the host of the event and anglers are asked to contact them to reschedule rooms and boat slips accordingly.
Thank you for your understanding and support of Central Pro Am.
Due to dramatic changes in the weather forecast for this weekend Central Pro Am has cancelled their Tournament on Lake of the Ozarks for December 7 & 8, 2013.
Weather forecasters are calling for significant amounts of freezing rain, sleet and snow with single digit temperatures from Thursday morning through the weekend. Wind speeds averaging between 5 – 15 MPH will result in wind chill values around zero daily. Once temperatures drop below freezing on Wednesday they will not be above freezing until Monday afternoon.
“Our greatest concern is our anglers.” CPAA Owner Mike Webb said. “As much as we want to have the tournament, the forecast is calling for dangerous weather conditions and we can’t take the chance of anyone being injured on the water or on the road.”
“We’ve been watching several weather forecasts for the last 48 hours and it has gone from bad to worse.” Webb added. “We wanted to make the call as early as possible so our anglers could cancel their lodging and travel arrangements.”
The tournament will be rescheduled sometime after the first of the year and an announcement will released soon.
Anglers wishing to receive a refund for their entry or deposit are asked to email email@example.com otherwise all entries and deposits will be credited to any upcoming tournament including the team event on 12/15/13.
“Situations like this are frustrating; I know we won’t make everyone happy by cancelling the event but we have to put the safety of our anglers and staff before other concerns.” Webb said.
From all of us at Central Pro Am Happy Thanksgiving to all of our anglers, their family and friends. We are truly thankful for the support you have shown us over the past year since we acquired the circuit and look forward to providing you the best tournaments in the mid west.
Please remember next weekend will be conducting a food drive to benefit Share the Harvest of Camdenton at the Lake of the Ozarks tournament. Share the Harvest will be at the weigh – in on Sunday to pick up the food we are contributing and we would like to fill the back of their truck with food. Anglers are encouraged to bring canned food or other non – perishable items. Those wishing to make a cash domination are asked to call our offices at 417-425-7513 and we will purchase food items based on the amount of money raised. Together, with your help, we hope to feed hundreds of those in need in the greater Lake of the Ozarks area.

“This time of year hits local food pantries hard.” CPAA Owner Mike Webb said. “We’ve done food drives before and have been very successful helping the areas where our tournaments take place.”
Anglers are encouraged to help the local food pantry stock up for the winter and in return everyone that brings at least one item of food will be entered into the drawing to win.
One Gift card will be handed out after a random drawing of all that bring at least one food item.
“It’s important to remember others at this time of year and if we can help a local food bank feed a few people through the holidays we need to make it happen.” Webb added. ”I”d really like to see our anglers step up and help out.”
For decades Central Pro Am owner Mike Webb has been known for his blonde hair. In the 80′s and 90′s Webb’s long blonde hair earned nicknames like Blondie and Goldie Locks.
In recent years Webb has shortened his “doo” but he’s still known for his blonde locks. That could end at any of the upcoming Central Pro Am or Team Tournament Challenge tournaments in the 2014 season.
Webb, more accurately his wife Sherry Webb, have laid down a challenge to CPAA and TTC anglers. If 70 pros fish any of the 2014 CPAA qualifying tournaments or if 70 teams fish any of the TTC tournaments this year Sherry will shave Mike’s head on the weigh in stage after the event. No questions asked, 70 pros or 70 teams and the razor comes out and the blonde hair is gone.
“I’m not sure why I agreed to this.” Mike Webb said. “What worries me is how excited Sherry is about the idea.”
Anglers wanting to see Webb bald as a cue ball are encouraged to enter CPAA events here or TTC events here or contact the Webb Outdoor offices at 417-425-7513.
